Caleb Plant, UNBEATEN IBF champ, has reacted to Mike Tyson's backing of Canelo Alvarez for victory on November 6.
Plant, 29 years old, will take on Canelo next month as one of the top pound-for-pound boxers in the world.
Plant rebuffed Tyson's claim that he was going to be 'f***ed up by Canelo
The unification bout will feature all super middleweight belts, but Plant's unbeaten 21-0 record is on the line.
Iron Mike believes Plant will be 'f***ed up by the incredible Mexican.
Tyson stated during a recent episode on the podcast 'Hotboxin With Mike Tyson: "This guy [Canelo] is going "f***ing kill [Caleb Plant]".
"He's your friend. You're going to his funeral. He's going to get f***ed up, looks like Floyd Mayweather.
"Wait until that m **********r begins hitting that body, Alvarez. Those m **********r shots body shots, oh! he's going to get f***ed up!"
Plant was not amused by Tyson's comments and retorted listing some of Tyson's most notable defeats during his career.
Fight Hype.com heard from the IBF champ that Mike Tyson was stronger than "Buster" Douglas, but it didn't help him.
He was determined to win. He was stronger then Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis. But winning a fight is more than being stronger than someone.
"There are many factors and keys that go into fighting, and not all of them have to do with strength.
Canelo believes Plant will be a much easier opponent than when he faced Brit Billy Joe Saunders.
The 31-year old, who has not lost since Floyd Mayweather beat him in 2013, forced Saunders' to step down on his stool at May's eighth round.
He said this on The Last Stand podcast: "Yeah. Same [as Saunders], however, different because Billy Joe Saunders and Caleb Plant are southpaws.
"So, it's going to be I think maybe a bit easier for me."
