CANELO ALVAREZ is close in reaching an agreement on a two-bout PS63million deal that would allow him to fight Dmitry Bivol or Gennady Gorlovkin.
This Mexican star is a free promotional and network agent, which has led to a fierce battle for his services.
Dmitry Bivol is in line to fight Canelo Alvarez next
Al Haymon, a mystery American boxing mogul, offered a PS33m pay per view headliner with unbeaten middleweight JermallCharlo, 31.
Eddie Hearn, with whom Canelo had worked in recent fights put together a package that included two parts.
ESPN reports that the four-weight world champion has accepted Hearn's offer.
He would fight for Bivol (31), for the Russian WBA light-heavyweight title. It will take place on May 7.
The long-awaited trio fight with Golovkin (39), is scheduled for September 17.
Canelo (31 years old) has only fought once in the 175lb heavyweight division. He defeated Sergey Kovalev, 38 in November to win the WBO title.

The Kovalev victory was also the final fight before Canelo ended his contract with Oscar De La Hoya, Golden Boy and Golden Boy.
He has fought on DAZN aligned to Hearn three times since then. He beat Callum Smith (31), Avni Yildirim (30), and Billy Joe Saunders (32).
He would defeat Caleb Plant (29), with PBC on Fox.
It looked like the partnership would continue for another fight after Canelo’s trainer and manager Eddy Reynoso selected Charlo to be his next opponent.
It was tempting to miss out on the opportunity to complete his trilogy with GGG, alongside DAZN or Hearn.
They drew in 2017, before Canelo won a rematch one year later. Both fights were sold over 1m PPVs.
Even at Golovkin’s senior age, a third bout against Alvarez is one the most lucrative commercially in the sport.
It would be necessary for the Kazakh to gain weight and fight beyond the middleweight limit, this being his first fight in 43 years.
