CANELO ALVAREZ thinks his undisputed clash with Caleb Plant will be easier than his win against Billy Joe Saunders.
The 31-year old, who has not lost since Floyd Mayweather beat him in 2013, forced Saunders' to step down on his stool at May's eighth round.
Canelo and Plant exchange punches at their recent press conference
When he faces Plant on November 6, he will be looking to win the fourth belt in super-middleweight.
Canelo believes that a fight against Plant will prove to be easier than his win over Saunders.
He said this on The Last Stand podcast: "Yeah. Same [as Saunders], however, different because Billy Joe Saunders and Caleb Plant are southpaws.
"So, it's going to be I think maybe a bit easier for me."
Canelo has defeated three of his four previous opponents. Callum Smith is the only one to finish with him since May 2019.
Alvarez is incredibly confident going into the undisputed fight, but he acknowledges that Plant will be dangerous at times.
He said, "The first round will be difficult due to his style,"
"But I'm able to break down the style. Perhaps after five rounds, I will be able to do my thing."
Alvarez is widely considered to be the best pound for pound fighter in the entire world.
He won 56 of his 59 professional fights, losing to Mayweather but drawing to Jorge Juarez or GennadyGolovkin.
Plant has been unbeaten in 21 pro fights, but has never fought anyone like Canelo.
They have a clear dislike for each other and came to blows at the press conference.
Plant tried to throw a punch towards Canelo, but Canelo dodged it. The Mexican then threw his right hand at Plant, leaving the American with a cut below the eye.
