Canelo Alvarez gets PS30m GUARANTEED prior to PPV bonuses from Caleb Plant. At least PS7.4m in purses revealed

CANELO ALVAREZ will be able to win a GUARANTEED PlayStation30million to fight Caleb Plant. This is before any pay per view bonuses are added.

Plant will be earning at least PS7.4m as a result of his participation in the undisputed super-middleweight title decider.

Dan Rafael revealed the pre-fight purses, which do not include anything earned after the PPV victory.

Forbes reported that Canelo won against Callum Smith (31 in December 2020) and Avni Yaldirim (29 in February), respectively.

The Mexican paid the Mexican close to PS25m for his win against Billy Joe Saunders (31), in May.

Canelo broke down Saunders in eight rounds, leaving the Brit with FOUR facial fractures.

After some heated trash talk, Alvarez warned Plant that Plant, 29 years old, has set ablaze a fire under his feet like none other.

He also promised to pay the undefeated Americans a fair price - within the 12 rounds distance.

Canelo, 31 years old, predicted: "That is why we are here, Saturday night, and we will make history."

"He's an excellent fighter with many skills, but it's not something new for me. It's not unusual to be in the same room as a lot of great fighters.

"I believe it will be seven to nine rounds, in my opinion."

Eddie Hearn promoted Canelo in his last three fights.

Al Haymon, the Premier Boxing Champion's of Al Haymon, with whom Plant is signed, favored the four-division champion over Showtime PPV for a unification bout.
