Alvarez is aiming to be undisputed champion by capturing the IBF super middleweight title.

We will be reporting from Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday night.

Caleb Plant, a 29-year-old American with an impressive 21-0 record stands in his path.

SunSport exclusively reports that the orthodox fighter from Tennessee took part in ten-week preparations with Justin Gamber, the champion's trainer.

Canelo, 31 years old, enters the fight after a 12 month period of great success.

He has already fought and won three times in the last year.

Callum Smith, 31, Avni Yoldirim (30), and Billy Joe Saunders (31), were defeated by the 5ft 9in Mexican.

Canelo predicts Plant will be tough competition, but Canelo says Plant will be knocked out somewhere in the seventh or ninth rounds.

He said, "That's why they are here and Saturday night we will make history."

"He's an excellent fighter with many skills, but it's not something new for me. It's not unusual to be in the same room as a lot of great fighters.

"I believe it will be seven to nine rounds, in my opinion."
