CANELO ALEZ said he would use a new strategy to get revenge on Dmitry Bivol, after having dealt with Gennady Gorlovkin.
Bivol stunned the Mexican star after he moved up to light-heavyweight in May to compete for the WBA title.

Canelo, 31 years old, decided to stick with the original plan. He will be back in Las Vegas on September 17 against Golovkin (40).
After confirming his two fight plan, he will then look to rematch Bivol (31),
Canelo stated to DAZN that he would try again. I am very competitive and persevering.

"I tried to gain weight, and win this championship. But we didn't succeed.
"But we will try again only that for another fight, I would like to be in much greater physical condition, prepare me for the 12 rounds.
"A different strategy than the one I used to beat my opponents at 168 Pounds.
You can learn from everything. I tried new things and it didn’t work. But now, we have a guideline for the future.

He had only once fought that high. In November 2019, he knocked out Sergey Kovalev (39), to win the WBO title.
Canelo will now drop to 168 lbs to defend his titles against Golovkin. Golovkin will be fighting outside of the middleweight division for the first time.
The four-division champion does not win, having been dethroned as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the entire world.
Canelo replied: "The truth of the matter is that I don’t know how they handle this kind of thing but I still feel that I’m the best."
"Tell me about another fighter who is trying out in other categories, going up and down in weight, or wanting to do different things.
"Nobody has ever done that. I do it. It's a risk I take to make history, even though I don’t have to.
