Canelo says Caleb Plant will be brutally KO by Canelo before the eighth round of grudge matches. He tells his opponent to 'control their emotions'

CANELO ALVAREZ has pledged to end Caleb Plant’s reign as IBF supermiddleweight champion within eight rounds.

The undisputed champion at 168lb will try to be the undisputed leader of the division against American in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

The two 31-year-olds and the 29-year olds, respectively, came to blows at a heated press conference last week.

Sweethands will be made to pay for their pre-fight antics by Canelo, the pound-for-pound king.

The Mexican stated that it was "new" for him to be in such bad blood with his opponent.

It's very different than normal, and it's definitely caused the most animosity with my opponent before he goes into a big fight.

"I am sticking to my prediction of a knockout in round eight.

"The fight will be tough in the first few rounds, but I'm going to be able get him out as the fight goes on.

"I gave the message that I needed to at our press conference. Plant doesn't need anything else. I will just prepare to meet him in the ring, November 6.

Plant and Canelo began their viral fight when Canelo tried to slap his Tennesse counterpart.

Guadalajara Gladiator Canelo believes that his foe will have a difficult time controlling his emotions during fight week.

He said, "I have never been involved in anything similar to what happened at Caleb's first press conference."

"I have been in the ring for big fights like these a lot of times.

"It's going be a challenge for him to fight in a fight this big for the first time." He will have to manage his emotions."

Plant is a big underdog in the Sin City showdown, but his friend Andre Ward believes he will shock the world to dethrone Canelo.

The former light-heavyweight king stated that this was a great fight, and an opportunity for Caleb Plant to win.

"I love this point in his career when he's fought solid opposition and he has all the makings of a fighter who can go to the next stage.

"He must prove it. These proving moments are what I love, and he has that chance against Canelo November 6th. It's not going 12.

"Caleb Plant couldn't hit Canelo with a sucker punch in the press conference. Canelo is defending himself.

Canelo knows that Canelo will be coming after him in the ring. Which fighter would you prefer in that fight? Canelo or Caleb Plant?

"I will go with Caleb Plant. This is my brother. I will support him every step of the way. But he has to prove it.
