Former super-middleweight world champion Carl Froch has voiced his strong disapproval of the recent Misfits Boxing clash between Tommy Fury and KSI.
Calling it 'garbage'
Froch watched the event at a pub in Nottingham and was thoroughly unimpressed by what he witnessed. In fact, he went as far as predicting the demise of influencer boxing, labeling the main event as "garbage."
Not qualified or experienced
Speaking to talkSPORT, Froch expressed his disdain for the sport, saying, "It's a load of garbage as far as I'm concerned because they're not qualified, they're not experienced or good enough to be in a boxing ring. They'd probably be better off wrestling or doing some kind of controlled cage fight because they can't box. Their technique is so poor that as soon as the bell goes I switch off."
Disappointed audience
Froch observed that the pub he was in was filled with young men and women, who were booing and expressing their disappointment with the fights. He believes that if these performances continue, people will eventually lose interest and stop watching.

Has influencer boxing run its course?
Froch questioned the sustainability of influencer boxing, saying, "Who have you got, Jake Paul, Logan Paul, KSI, and Dillon Danis, but who else is leading the pack? I think it may have run its course, but we'll see."
Controversy surrounding the main event
The headline fight of the event was between KSI and Tommy Fury, with Fury emerging as the victor via unanimous decision. However, the result has not been without controversy. KSI has launched a legal battle against the decision, hiring a lawyer and filing an appeal.
A brawl in the ring
In the co-main event, Logan Paul faced off against Dillon Danis. After the final bell, Danis started a brawl in the ring and was subsequently disqualified.
