Former world champion boxer Carl Froch has expressed his belief that his friend Tony Bellew will excel in the reality show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here. However, Froch has also highlighted the need for Bellew to control his temper while in the jungle.
Carl Froch's Support for Tony Bellew
Bellew, a 40-year-old former boxer, is set to enter the I'm a Celebrity camp on Thursday's show, despite the recent passing of his grandmother. Froch, a legendary super-middleweight, has revealed that Bellew was the only man to ever knock him down in sparring and believes he will adapt well to the challenges of the show.
Speaking to AceOdds, Froch stated, "I think he'll do really well. I think he's a good guy, Tony. He stands by his principles... He beat my best mate David Haye and I've still not fallen out with him because he helped me spar for some big world title fights. I think he'll do well. He's a man of principle but he's fair. He's a nice guy."
Froch also acknowledged Bellew's reputation for being intense and passionate, but emphasized the importance of him staying calm during his time in the show. He described Bellew as a family man and a devoted Everton fan who will participate in challenges and contribute to the team.

Tony Bellew's Career Highlights
Bellew achieved a career-high in 2016 when he defeated Ilunga Makabu to win the WBC Cruiserweight Title at Goodison Park. He then pulled off two upsets against David Haye, stopping him in 2017 and repeating the feat in 2018.
After losing to Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed cruiserweight crown in 2018, Bellew retired from boxing. Since then, he has worked as a pundit on DAZN's boxing coverage and made guest appearances on shows like A League Of Their Own.
A Potential TV Drama
While Froch praised Bellew and his potential for success in the jungle, he made it clear that he has no personal interest in television. He stated, "There's some big household names in there [I'm A Celeb]. There's a couple of names that my missus has put. I don't know, f***ing anyone. I don't watch TV. I don't watch any television that's on the like legacy media, I don't look at it."
With his outspoken personality and boxing background, Bellew is expected to be a captivating character on the show. Fans will have to tune in to see how he fares in the challenges and how his time in the jungle unfolds.
