Former super-middleweight champion Carl Froch has fired a warning to John Fury after being called out for a fight at Wembley Stadium. Froch, known for his outspoken nature since retiring in 2014, has been critical of John's son Tyson in the past.
John Fury Calls for Wembley Showdown
John Fury, father and coach of boxing superstars Tyson and Tommy Fury, passionately defended his son and challenged Froch to a fight at Wembley. The iconic venue holds significance as the place where Tyson famously knocked out George Groves in front of 80,000 spectators. John Fury proposed, "You and me, Wembley Stadium, 93,000 crowd. I'm up for that my friend."
Froch's Response
Carl Froch, however, was unimpressed by the challenge and issued a warning to John Fury. He confidently stated, "The Cobra's still in outrageous, chiselled shape. If you were stood across the ring from me with 10oz gloves on, it wouldn't last very long." Froch also made it clear that any physical altercation outside of the ring would be a different story, cautioning, "That's a roll around on the cobbles, and trust me you don't want to go there with me!"
Charitable Intentions
Despite the heated exchange, Froch laughed off the idea of a Wembley Stadium showdown and suggested that any potential fight would be for charity. He stated, "I'd be doing it for charity. I don't think you're short of a few quid, I certainly don't need the money. So, if it did get to that stage just know one thing, this isn't for financial benefit, this is for charity. Simple as that."

John Fury had a professional boxing career with 13 fights, earning eight wins, four losses, and one draw. He claims to have also been a fierce bare-knuckle boxer in his prime.
