Chris Eubank Jr. has a new opponent after Sven Elbir tested positive for coronavirus

CHRIS EUBANK JR will face Anatoli Muratov after Sven Elbir's positive coronavirus testing.

Muratov has stepped up at last notice to make sure Eubank Jr. fights at Wembley Arena.

The Brit is now considered one of the top middleweight contenders.

Eubank Jr. will be hopeful that another win will put him in the running for the WBA title.

It will be difficult against Muratov who is No7 in the world, and has won 24 out of 27 of his fights.

SunSport has exclusive information that Eubank Jr. is on track for a domestic blockbuster in December, with Billy Joe Saunders (target) and Liam Williams (target).

A super-fight against Gennady Gorlovkin, 39 is off the table until the summer. Ryota Murata, 35, from Japan, will be fighting the Kazakh in a unification.

Kalle Sauerland, promoter, promised that a huge pay-per view worthy fight would be held before the year ends.

SunSport was informed by Sauerland that Golovkin is not a possibility. Golovkin is now obligated to fight Murata.

"That fight is an ongoing one. We said that we would revisit it after he's had that fight. This is going to be an important summer fight for next year.

"We are looking at domestic fights. Liam Williams is on the list, Billy Joe's on that list.

Saunders beat Eubank Jr on a split-decision made in 2014.

They were not able to settle their scores and the result has only intensified their rivalry, fueling demand for a rematch.

Sauerland said, "I'm certain it will happen. Billy Joe stated that he was contemplating his future but now wants to fight him.

"Before it was: 'OK, is that he going to fight again?" He's made a lot, so you wouldn't have any concerns about him retiring.

"But he stated he wanted that fight, and of course we're going make that fight happen."
