CHRIS EUBANK JR stated that a clause regarding rehydration in his contract with Conor Benn was in place to prevent a "public execution".
They will be starring in a DAZN pay per view blockbuster on October 8th, almost 30 years after their fathers' famous rematch.
Conor Benn will be fought by Chris Eubank Jr at a 157lb catchweight
Benn, 25 years old, will need to gain 10 lbs from his 147lb weight with the bout at 157lb.
Eubank Jr., 32, is a career middleweight at 160lb and has campaigned as high 168lb.
Due to their weight differences, the two will be able to meet at the 154lb middleweight or light-middleweight limit.
Eubank's size is a reason why a rehydration clause was put in place, which limits him to the maximum weight he can eat each morning.
The exact amount was not disclosed live as the fight sons met in London before the fight.
Eubank Jr. said that he couldn't be 100% on the night. This is a public execution if I am 100 percent on the night.
Both will likely be penalized $100,000 (PS82,000), for every 1lb they weigh over. If either is 158.5lb or more, the fight is off.
Benn continues to climb the rankings at welterweight to improve on his first world title shot.
Eubank Jr. has become increasingly frustrated by his inability to win championships.
He turned his attention to Benn after their fathers' famous fights in 1990.
Eubank Sr won an epic battle against arch-nemesis Nigel. They controversially drew three more years later, in 1993.
Benn sees his fight against Eubank Jr. as a revenge mission, and vows that he will get one back for the mentor father.
He stated, "I'm taking over the family business."
