Williams graciously applauded Eubank's bitter rival, as Eubank was crowned the winner

Chris Sr, British ring legend and family member, was there to witness their boy win with scores of 116-108, 116-108, and 117-109.

Cardiff's hostile crowd booed Eubank Jr into the ring after they had seen the Irish Six Nations side lose to the national rugby team earlier.

Williams made a mad dash for Jr. and his partisan supporters, running around the ring looking in the dark, and then spitting on Jr's face.

The arena echoed with the sound of "Liam, Liam" and gave the land its first few jabs.

Then, an excellently timed Eubank jab connected. Williams was seated on his shorts and beat the count but lost round.

Eubank enjoyed boxing on the back foot while Williams pushed the pressure. Williams walked Eubank on to a crisp right-hand that floored Williams again in the second.

Williams was desperately looking at his new corner team, led by Adam Booth, but he won the count again.

Eubank was speaking to Williams in the third set, trying to persuade him in the heat. He was also warned about punching on the break.

Williams was so out of control that he missed throwing the ball so many times, Eubank waved the red rag to the bull.

The shootout ended in the final seconds. Eubank and referee Mark Lyson connected after the bell. Williams' team complained about a headbutt.

Williams then landed one in the fourth, which wobbled the 32 year-old, but he tried not to be upset.

His smile was even wider when Williams was dropped for the hat trick.

After the last bell rang, Eubank stretched his muscles in front of the camera

Eubank continued to trash talk and showboat, silencing the audience as well as slashing at Williams’ waning confidence.

Williams was again buzzed at the beginning of the fifth by a right-hand and his swelling cheekbones were changing colour.

He continued to attack Eubank, trying to turn the tide of fight, and he enjoyed some clean shots right before the bell.

Eubank was able to see into the seats and inform them that Williams had his fans cheering for him in the sixth.

The seventh was violent and scrappy, but there were moments when Eubank got a right uppercut. He was also tagged back with a one-two.

Williams repeatedly mocked the manicured beard in the build up, but Eubank didn't wobble.

Although Williams did better in the second half of the fight, the damage to his scorecard was already done. Eubank could feel confident that he will be able to raise his arm as long as he finishes the bout.

Williams' right eye was nearly closed by the eleventh Williams and he was then floored for the fourth time.

Eubank danced the last three minutes mocking Williams, but he was given a late warning after he cracked with a heavy punch on the ropes.

Eubank, however, added insult to injury when he danced and laughed in the final seconds. The crowd booed as he climbed the ropes for the celebration.

After the fight, he said to Sky Sports that he was determined to teach Williams "a lesson" after all the trash-talking during the build up to it.

Jr. said, "I wanted this man to learn a lesson." He had said some very frightening things to me.

"I thought, "I don't want to knock this guy out in round one, I wanna punish his."
