Chris Eubank Jr. slams Adam Booth, trainer for Liam Williams' pair's grudge match... with cousin Harlem

CHRIS EUBANK JR has criticised Adam Booth, a rival trainer who coached bitter enemy Liam Williams in preparation for their clash - along with his little cousin.

Harlem Eubank (super-lightweight), 27, has made a lot of progress under his Surrey-based mentor, but now has a new awkward gym-mate.

Williams made the announcement just weeks before their February 5th grudge match. He was moving from Dominic Ingle's Sheffield gym, to Booth's in Redhill. The younger Eubank had been training there since 2019.

Eubank Jr, a 32-year-old middleweight, is disgusted that he has been placed in such a difficult situation.

SunSport was informed by the Roy Jones Jr-trained Brighton ace: "Harlem is still training alongside Adam Booth, so that speaks volumes about Booth's character."

"Harlem is my cousin, Adam Booth knows this and has yet to agree to train Liam Williams against him.

"It speaks volumes about Adam Booth, and Harlem has been told by me that it shows that Adam doesn't care about Harlem.

"I'm sure Harlem met Williams at the gym.

Although Harlem tries his best to avoid it, it's impossible because it's small.

Booth was Harlem's mentor when he spent several months with Booth, the mastermind behind much of George Groves and David Haye's success.

Williams is hopeful Booth, nicknamed the Dark Lord, will be able to use the crucial information he gained from those sessions to his advantage in front of his Cardiff home crowd.

Eubank Jr, a 31-2 slugger insists that there's no upside to switching cornermen so close at this amazing domestic battle.

Eubank Jr. stated that Adam doesn't know all about me because we were only together for six months, and that was many years ago.

"He saw me spar George Groves quite a bit, while he was training Groves. So maybe he gets some insight from that.

"But I am a totally different fighter than what I was back then. So Liam Williams' move towards Adam Booth is irrelevant."
