After wins against Marcus Morrison, Eubank Jr. and Wanik Awdijan this year, rumors arose that Gennady Golovkin would be fighting in a super fight.
SunSport revealed exclusively that plans to fight Triple G have been rescheduled until the summer.
He will instead take on Williams, a 29-year-old Brit in a delicious all-British bout.
Next Gen has won 30 of his 32 career fights, losing only to George Groves or Billy Joe Saunders.
Williams has now won 23 of his 27 fights, losing three and drawing one.
In April, his last fight with Demetrius Andrade, a WBO middleweight champion, ended in defeat.
Eubank Jr. has 22 knockouts to his record, compared with Williams' 18. The pair have a similar KO ratio.
The son of Eubank Sr is the tallest in height and reach.
He is just one inch taller than his opponent Williams, standing at 5ft11in.
He boasts a three-inch longer reach.
Both men are strict fighters in their stances, and they seem to have little to no splitting when it is about the stats.
There's a lot at stake, with the winner of this bout likely to have a chance at the title in their next fight.
Motorpoint Arena is packed and ready for the spectacle.
