CLARESSA SHIELDS included Keith Thurman and Jake Paul in her "boxing bucket" list, along with Katie Taylor from Ireland.
Paul, YouTube star and unbeaten 5-0 fighter, raised eyebrows when he shared his five-man list of potential opponents.
Claressa Shields, a boxing star and MMA fighter, is a champion in the sport of boxing.
Paul included Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Avarez, Conor McGregor and Tyson Fury on his list.
Paul, 24 years old, was included in Shields’, along with Ema Kzi, Savannah Marshall and Thurman.
Marshall is the only American opponent who has beaten Marshall in the ring, whether professional or amateur.
Shields, 26 years old, is out to revenge her loss in the unpaid ranks by a mega-fight with Brit Marshall next year.
Taylor is currently the unified lightweight champion and three weight divisions higher than Shields.
Stranger still is the calling out of Paul, a social media sensation, and Thurman, a former welterweight champion.

In 2019, the unbeaten female boxer claimed that she could defeat Shawn Porter and Thurman, 34.
Shields said to TMZ Sports, "I spar with men. And, I mean, I drop men. I can bust noses, and I beat up men all the time.
"If I had to choose between the guys, I think that I could beat -- Keith Thurman. It's true.
"I believe I could beat Keith Thurman, even if they're like "Oh, Shawn Porter beat him."
Shawn Porter is a tough opponent, but I think I have the skills and strength to beat him. They may be stronger than I, but their boxing abilities aren't as good as mine.
