Benn claimed that the fight was nearly canceled by Eubank Jr.'s demands

Benn says that the fight almost failed to materialize due to a multitude of demands made by Eubank Jr.

The welterweight competitor, who will be fighting at a higher weight, told the BBC that there were many things (delays caused during negotiations by Eubank).

"His ego kept getting the way. [Eubank wanted] his ring walk to be second, his home corner, and his name on the bill first.

"Everybody knows that it's Benn Eubank, but we let him have Eubank Benn."

Benn, 25, who was undefeated, was happy to make concessions in order to ensure that the unimaginable fight took place.

He said, "We let him get all of that."

"We were arguing about all that and I just, know what, let him have all of it...my ego isn't that big.

"If he feels that he requires all of that, that's okay. Give me an 18-foot ring, and we'll be good."

Benn's father Nigel was defeated in the ninth round by Chris Eubank Sr in 1990. He then fought 'English to a draw three years later.

Conor isn't under any pressure to revenge his bitter old rival's loss.

He stated, "I work extremely hard. Everything goes in the gym. I try to do my best, and I do everything I can.

"Why do I feel this pressure?" "I've done it too many times, I've laughed too many times to allow this pressure to get to me.

Benn has defeated 14 career foes and is optimistic of adding Eubank Jr to that list.

He stated, "I can beat any man." I work hard enough. I know who I am and what I can accomplish.

"Whoever it may be. I do everything I'm supposed. It's more than just beating someone. It's about how you view beating someone.

"It is impossible to take away the victories that I have had. Call me delusional, or call me confident. You can call me whatever you like. "I believe I can stop Chris."
