The fight for the ages is now in doubt as Eubank Sr claims he wants his son out of the bout.

Benn decided to take a jab at Eubank Jr., his father's rival.

Felix Cash shared a photo with him and wrote: "Just sparred ten rounds ....." While Someone's having DADDY ISSUES."

Benn, 25, a Welterweight, is required to gain 10lb over his normal fighting weight of 147lb.

Eubank Jr., 32, will be dropping below the 160lb limit for the catchweight agreement to make it 157lb.

Due to their size differences, the contract also includes a limit on how much they can weigh the following day.

This means that a second-day weight in will be conducted, but the exact rehydration limit has not yet been disclosed.

Eubank Jr., who has fought as high as 168lb at super middleweight, confirmed that his father will be there.

However, it seems that Eubank Sr. has done a huge U-turn. He will do everything he can to stop the fight.

He stated that if someone is trying to take your child away and do something wrong to it, you as a father would not allow them to. That's all that I do.

"I have given him my direction. If he refuses to follow my direction, he will be led along.

"But he will make the right decision... he is dropping 1oz under 160lbs, which is impossible on my watch."

Sebastian, Eubank Sr. died tragically last year at the age of 29 after suffering a heart attack while swimming.

His eldest son is now preparing to lose his career-lowest weight. It has scared his father, who was a former champion.

Eubank Sr. added that "This is modern-day 'gladiating' and is not for the audience.

"We must be strict or lives will be in danger. My son's life cannot also be in danger. It's happened before. It won't happen again.

However, Eubank Sr.'s comments were not taken seriously by Kalle Sauerland Jr., Jr's promoter. The fighter is still training and the bout will continue.
