Conor Benn says Kell Brook wants PS10MILLION as a fight to be crowned Brit star in the summer clash

CONOR BENN reported that Kell Brook demanded PS10MILLION in order to fight, as he ruled out a summer blockbuster.

Eddie Hearn, Benn's promoter, revealed that he made a'significant' offer to Brook while he was preparing for an all-English showdown in June.

The son of British boxing legend Nigel appears to have won the fight, at least for the moment.

Benn, 25 years old, posted on Instagram that fight news should be dropping very soon. It's not Kell Brook, ten million is out of the equation.

Brook, 35, ended his nearly two decade-long rivalry with Amir Khan (35), with a six-round victory in February.

His stock has risen once again, with middleweight Chris Eubank Jr., 32, calling him out for an upcoming grudge match.

Khan has a rematch clause in the contract that Hearn suggests Khan is trying to invoke.

Khan would have to pay a fee if he wanted to fight Brook.

Hearn stated to iFL TV that he had heard Amir Khan invoke the rematch clause.

"People have been calling us asking for our assistance to remove the rematch clause.

"So, no, you're alright, thanks. We'll get cracking on if you go to Khan-Brook 2.

Instead, Benn will be returning to South Africa on April 16th with South African Chris van Heerden (34), in talks as an opponent.

Hearn urged Hearn to be patient as he anticipates super-fights.

He stated: "I told Conor Benn the last day, 'You're a young star,'

"Don't be afraid to base your career on someone else. Don't worry too much about waiting and trying to get this paycheck.

"Everything's going to come for you," So we get on with our careers, his next fight will take place April 16th. We'll be ready for Conor Benn's huge show."

Hearn claimed that Brook offered him more than he made for Khan's fight - but was countered by a triple of the initial amount.

Promoter stated: "I basically offered them more than they got to fight Amir Khan. And that's the bigger fight -- well, maybe -- to face Conor Benn.

"So, they demanded more than three times the amount I offered.

"So it was for me that it meant, "We don't really want fight again, but if someone gives us mad money we'll think about it."

"But we cannot wait for Kell Brook. We're going to get on with our lives and, like I said, keep talking.

"We hope we can win that fight, but for now, just concentrate on Conor Benn's career and keep him moving in the right direction."
