Victoria Benn and her son Eli regularly visited Conor Benn during his training camp

The son of ring legend Nigel allowed his baby son Eli to visit him regularly, which he believes makes him a more dangerous threat than the New Yorker, 37.

Many fighters enjoy training camps that are far from their homes and allow them to focus on hardening themselves.

Benn prefers to be close to his family, as his siblings and parents are all located in Australia.

SunSport spoke with him: "I brought my family to the gym because it is what makes me feel at ease.

It is so comforting to have my family here. Before, it was all about me living in Australia and my family fighting for my rights. It's great to have my family close by me, whether I'm in the gym or on media days.

"My family is my motivation, they are the reason I do what I love. They are not distracting me from the gym or around the gym.

Benn, a former two-weight world champion, was unable to see his father for almost a year due to Covid travel restrictions. However, he is finally able to visit his grandson.

Conor enjoyed his clever stage moves as The Dark Destroyer went on a speaking tour along with Chris Eubank Sr, an eccentric old foe.

He stated that he wasn't surprised at how hard I train. I've always been a go-getter and dreamer. I am an achiever.

"I don’t train harder because he is there, I feel that I prefer his approval over boxing.

"Boxing is not the foundation of our relationship. We don't need talk about it. He's grandad and dad. It went smoothly. Eubank lets my dad do the acting and just sits there and gives one-word answers and takes his check. They make for a great couple.

Last September in September, Benn was disappointed by Adrian Granados’ negative tactics and reluctance of engagement. He made it 19-0.

He ordered his American opponent, at one point, to stand in the middle of the ring and give the fans what they wanted.

He stated, "It's so boring to hear my opponents say that I haven't passed the test." Even though I don't have a formal style, I look vulnerable and take risks.

Benn hopes that Chris Algieri will be more dangerous if he has his family around him.

"I will always throw. If I miss I miss. I'm not sitting back and allowing points decisions to slide by. I'm going in to hit my opponent.

Algieri is a thinker, and he has been in the best company so he deserves respect. But what he thinks doesn't matter to me. It just becomes a little irritating.

"If he doesn’t believe that I belong at this level of the hierarchy, he will be in shock for his entire life."
