CONOR BENN believes that Amir Khan being booed from his ring could have ended their summer showdown.
After slaying Chris van Heerden (34), in two Manchester rounds, the Ilford ace, 25, invited Bolton's fellow Welterweight into the Ring with the offer of a shootout.

Khan, 35, suffered a pasting in February at the hands 10-year rival Kellbrook and did some of his best ducking and dodging and had the crowd laughing at his unwillingness to take part in a cross-generational clash.
Benn, the now 21-0-year-old son of British ring legend Nigel reckons that could have been the last nail in their potential rivalry, and maybe even Khan's career.
Benn replied, "I don’t think so" when Benn was asked if Khan was the target number 22. He's done what he had to do.
"I read a few articles about him saying that he would like to fight with me. So I thought we'd get him in the box and give him his chance, but he was completely wrong.

"I don't blame him. If I were him, I wouldn’t like it either. Who needs me in their lives? He seems to be enjoying retirement.
It's okay, I'm on an entirely different career path and the only way to go is up.
"I consider myself one of the top welterweights in this world. I don't care who I fight next. I will fight anyone, any of them.
"He is a former world champion boxer, it's amazing what he has achieved in the sport. It's sad that he was booed but that's what it is.

Fans who have followed him from London to Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester and Manchester over the past three years will be disappointed if he does not face a welterweight champion, or a household name.
Brook was targeted after his domination of Khan but he is set to take on middleweight Chris Eubank Jr in a catch-weight-grab-cash bout.
To keep the learning curve moving and keep fans interested, Benn, Sims, mastermind mentor and Eddie Hearn must choose a suitable step-up.
KHAN'T BEEN DENIED
Benn stated, "Brook would make sense to me." He's another player in the rankings and a former world champion. He just won a fantastic win over Khan.
"That would make sense to me in terms of career, but I don't care too much about the Khan fight.
"I don't feel frustrated, because I'm not fazed at all by anyone else. I'm on the right track, and I'm doing what is best for me. Because it doesn't matter, I don't care about what other people think.
"I'm certain I'm doing the right thing, because I'm still undefeated.
"I will fight anyone, anywhere. I will fight in a telephone booth.
"If you are in a fight and there is Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck at your ringside table, it could be anywhere.
"You don't focus on that. You're focused on the job at hand and beating the other guy up."
