Drug Test Scandal
Conor Benn, the rising welterweight contender, is set to make an unexpected comeback in the boxing ring this weekend in Orlando. His career was abruptly halted last October after he failed two drug tests ahead of a scheduled fight with Chris Eubank Jr.
Not Licensed in the UK
Currently, Benn is not licensed to compete in the UK due to the ongoing doping scandal. However, this hasn't stopped him and his team from arranging a fight, which will take place in Orlando this Saturday.
Opponent and Undercard
Benn will face off against 24-year-old Rodolfo Orozco on the undercard of Richardson Hitchins' super-lightweight clash with Jose Zepeda.
No Rule Break
Although not licensed in the UK, Benn is currently licensed by the Florida Athletic Commission, ensuring that he will not be breaking any rules by competing. His promoter, Eddie Hearn, is thrilled to have Benn back in action.

Champion Mentality
Benn expressed his excitement about his return, stating, "I am undefeated in the ring, and in spirit. A return on Saturday is a step closer to redemption. After that, I'm putting the 147-160 divisions on notice. You are looking at a determined man with a deep desire to beat them all."
Appeal in Progress
Although Benn was cleared by the National Anti-Doping Panel in July, UK Anti-Doping and the British Boxing Board of Control have appealed the decision. The outcome of the appeal is currently unknown.
