DANIEL DUBOIS' promoter has officially appealed his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk following a highly contested ruling of a "low blow".
Dubois, a rising star in the boxing world, was defeated by the masterful Ukrainian champion in a nine-round bout held in Poland.

The Controversial "Low Blow" Incident
In the fifth round, Dubois managed to land a powerful shot to Usyk's midsection, causing him to fall to the floor. However, referee Luis Pabon believed the punch was below the belt, giving Usyk five minutes to recover.
Replays of the incident sparked debate among fans and experts, with differing opinions on whether the shot was truly low or not.
Formally Appealing to the WBA
Devastated by the loss, Daniel Dubois and his promoter, Frank Warren, have officially appealed the result to the WBA (World Boxing Association).
Warren is calling for the bout to be declared a "no contest", nullifying the loss and requesting a rematch.
In an impassioned argument, Warren claims that Dubois was unfairly denied the opportunity to become the unified world heavyweight champion.
The Claim and Appeal
The appeal asserts that if the blow had not been incorrectly ruled as low, Usyk would not have been able to get up from Dubois' devastating body shot.
The appeal further states, "Mr. Dubois landed a body blow that dropped and severely hurt Mr. Usyk and, seemingly, crowned Mr. Dubois the heavyweight champion."
Team Dubois maintains that the referee's judgment of a low blow was incorrect, leading to an unjust result.
Accusations and Dubois' Response
Dubois' defeat included being knocked down twice and ultimately failing to beat the referee's count, resulting in accusations of quitting.
However, the devastated challenger spoke out in the ring after the fight, insisting that he was robbed of a world title.
Expressing his frustration, Dubois said, "I think that landed, and I've been cheated out of victory tonight. What else can I say?"
