Dubois' Next Fight Set
Daniel Dubois is set to defend his IBF heavyweight world championship against Derek Chisora this summer. The IBF has ordered Dubois, 27, to face Chisora, 41, by June 21. The mandatory bout is expected to be officially called on April 22.
Unifying Titles with Usyk?
While the mandatory bout with Chisora is on the horizon, Dubois is rumored to prioritize unifying his title with Oleksandr Usyk's belts. Pursuing a fight with Usyk would take precedence over the mandatory title defence.
Recent Setback for Dubois
Dubois recently had to withdraw from a scheduled fight against Joseph Parker due to illness. Martin Bakole stepped in as a replacement, allowing Parker to compete in a non-title bout and win via technical knockout in the second round. Dubois' last fight was against Anthony Joshua in September.
Potential Title Change for Chisora
If Dubois faces Chisora, the latter could potentially become world champion in what might be his 50th and final boxing match.
