DAVID HAYE slammed Tyson Fury for being a 'big fast-dosser' after winning his comeback bout and claimed that he was the Gypsy King’s 'kryptonite.
After losing to Tony Bellew in consecutive bouts, the British boxing legend retired after three years.
Joe Fournier was defeated by David Haye in his comeback bout
It was a surprise when Haye announced that he would fight Fournier in the ring, the man he used to promote and manage.
They fought eight rounds of two minute each, instead of the usual three. The pair have been friends for many years.
Haye won comfortably all the sessions. This included a knockdown round one after a jab.
He called Fury, an old rival, after he had called him eight years ago, eight years after their first fight.
Haye stated that Tyson Fury was the fighter for whom he would return to professional boxing.
"Tyson Fury is that big fast dosser. I know his kryptonite and I know what he cannot handle.
"He's an idiot, it's his word. He's a dosser. And I'm his kryptonite. It's something I know, it's something his dad and uncle know.
Haye was scheduled to fight Fury in 2013, and Fury a year later. However, he was injured and had to withdraw from both bouts.
The Gypsy King was twice crowned heavyweight champion in the years that followed.
Haye, however, was 40 and accused Fury (33) of trying to avoid a title decider with Anthony Joshua (31).
He stated: "I know that he is avoiding Anthony Joshua, and I know that he's trying trying to put trying putting him on the back burner. He doesn't want to do that work.
"I'll give the work to him, I'll give it to you." "He wants to fight, Hayemaker will come after you."
Haye had Fournier (a ten-bout newbie with no previous defeats) on the floor in round 1. After just one jab,
He didn't follow up and continued to control the action behind his jab and slip and roll anything that came back at him.
Haye insists that he didn't go for the knockout in order to stop Fury fearing a fight.
He said, "I didn’t want to scare away. Yes, I did. He wouldn't have accepted the fight if I had let go of my right hand.
"I know he thinks that I'm 40 years old, he thinks that I'm done, I've been out of the ring, I have only had one fight against Joe Fournier.
He thinks it will all be easy, but he is wrong.
