David Haye, former heavyweight champion, claims that he will earn more from his fight against Joe Fournier than he earned for his first fight with Tony Bellew.
On September 11, Hayemaker will be thrown down with his billionaire business pal, on the undercard to Oscar De La Hoya’s return fight with Vitor Belfort.
David Haye, 40 years old, will be returning to the ring in the next month
Triller, a streaming platform, has raised a substantial amount of cash to lure Haye from retirement. This is more than the PS4.2million that he received for The Bomber's December 2017 clash.
The 40-year old answered iFL TV's questions about his purse. He said that it was more than the money he received for the Bellew fight. It's more than the salary. It's insane.
It's more than the amount I paid for my Bellew one. That's exactly what I am saying. It's insane dough.
"So, what are you going to say to this? "No, Joe Fournier is not my opponent for that." What would people think of me if I didn’t fight him?
"What would they think?" They would think that I have something wrong.
"I don't. "I'm very healthy and really good.
"I just have to do the things I need to do, and then let the universe take care of itself." It's a great month of work.
Haye said that he has no plans to make an official comeback.
"You must make a sacrifice. You have to go to bed at a specific time.
"That's how I train for a fight. Everything gets put on the back burner.
"I would only do it for PPV Money, good PPV Money, and that's all he brought to this table."
After suffering a second consecutive loss to Bellew, Haye decided to retire from boxing in June 2018.
The Hammersmith strikeman is positive that he still has enough to beat the 9-1 Fournier.
He stated, "This isn't a comeback. This is about teaching Joe Fournier that there are different levels to boxing."
"One must keep their pace or risk being pushed around.
"There are some things you can't get in life - Joe 'The Billionaire" Fournier must learn these.
"I was the world's heavyweight champion just 10 years ago. I am only 40. Joe is delusional. Champions are not made.
Billionaire Fournier insists he will beat the WBA heavyweight champion, saying: "I'll shock the world and knockout David Haye."
"Undoubtedly, one of my most difficult challenges in life, but it is also the best fight for me at the right time.
"Haye, ten years beyond his prime, is racked with injuries. I was late to the pro boxing game, but now I'm in my fighting prime.
"I am healthy, motivated, and ready to prove to Haye that I will win on September 11.
