Deontay Wilder said he would love to fight the FOURTH Tyson Fury bout. He will return in 2022 for "the big fights" after a brutal trilogy.

DEONTAY WILDER 'would love' to get a FOURTH shot at Tyson Fury. Only 'the big fights’ will motivate him when he returns to the ring.

After an 11th round knockout loss, the American's promise of retribution against Fury was ended in agony.

It was the result of their 2018 disputed draw and Fury's stunningly one-sided win in the rematch last year.

The epic trilogy in Las Vegas saw five knockdowns between heavyweight rivals.

Wilder, despite his defeat, is on track to make a comeback in May 2022. His reputation has been restored after his heroic performance that saw him fall three times.

Shelly Finkel, Shelly's co-manager, said to SunSport that the ex-champion will be motivated when he returns.

"It's not yet on the drawing board, but Fury would love to have it back.

"I don’t think people want that right now. Some of the other fights need to find their way through, and then that might be possible.

"Because there aren’t many big fights against Fury, other than the Joshua and Usyk winner, at the end, there isn’t much to be excited about."

Wilder also has another option: Anthony Joshua, 31 years old, who was defeated by Oleksandr Uzyk, 34 in September.

Finkel said that AJ will be facing Usyk once again, but the outcome of the rematch won't affect a future fight.

He stated that it was a huge fight, regardless of what happens in the Joshua-Usyk fight.

"But it's still early so we need to get through Joshua and Usyk, and look at a few other options.

"And I don't think that Usyk will be able deal with Fury's size, even with all his skills."

Wilder, now 35, is returning home to Alabama where he will be taking a longer rest period and a six-month suspension.

Next week, he will need surgery for a fractured right hand sustained during the fight.

Finkel stated: "He's doing very well. He gives Fury all credit for performing the way that he did."

"But Deontay was fighting in the third round. He got hit with the ear. It threw his equilibrium off.

"And I was looking at him and I said, "What happened to his legs?" Because he had worked so hard.

"He also broke his right hand in the middle rounds behind the third knuckle. He will need to get that fixed next week.

"He must have surgery. The knuckle is okay, it's just the bone behind that broke."
