WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman would be thrilled to see the fight in Mexico City

Mauricio Sulaiman, president of WBC, believes that the fight would be the ideal one to celebrate the return of big-time boxing in The City of Palaces.

He stated that he thought the fight would be "wonderful" and was consistent with Mexico City's plans to host big boxing events.

"We've been trying to bring back a great event in our capital.

"There have been great fights in Mexico City, but we have had many years of not having a great event here. Andy Ruiz [a fight against Wilder] would have been wonderful.

"The Wilder-Ruiz fight [at heavyweight] is probably the most interesting non-title bout right now."

"Wilder, Andy Ruiz, is an explosive boxer. He has achieved one of the greatest upsets in heavyweight boxing history and the great traction with Mexican fans. I would love to have him here in Mexico."

Ruiz Jr, Mexico's first heavyweight champion, is eager to fight Deontay Wilder.

"We are both part of the same team, you know. I would love to get in the ring with him. He is a tough opponent. We gotta get it on."

Wilder, 36 years old, is still coping with his terrible loss in the trilogy fight against Fury. He recently said he might be ready to give up his gloves.

Kevin Hart, the comedian, said that he had mixed feelings. He stated: "It's mixed emotions because I have achieved all my goals in this sports. When my daughter was one, I promised her that I would be a champion and that I would be able support her beyond her imagination.

Deontay Wilder suggested recently that he might retire following Tyson Fury's brutal defeat

"I've done this. There are many things I have done that I feel I need to prove to others, because I've proven myself.

"Should i push forward?" Do I push on?

"Or should I retire and concentrate on other things I have, or other things I want to do?"
