He thanked the Brit for his contribution to the trilogy, and SunSport can tell you what the reason is.

Fury called Fury an "idiot" and a "sore loser" when Fury was dismissed by his great rival after last weekend's 11-round thriller.

The Bronze Bomber broke his silence on Thursday with a classy Instagram message thanking God, Fury, his fans, and Fury for their'memories which will last forever'.

Wilder's approach shocked many in boxing, given the animosity that existed between them in the build-up.

SunSport cannot reveal the psychological reasons, but there are some psychological ones.

Jo Hemmings, a behavior psychologist, said that emotions run high during and after fights.

"The stress hormones cortisol and adrenalin are at their highest, so you can give everything that you have. This will be felt by both boxers.

"But Fury will feel elation at winning, but Wilder will feel huge disappointment in himself for losing (as will being in some physical pain).

"He wouldn't have been in the mood to show kindness towards his victorious adversary.

"But once the anger, stress, and feelings of failure subside, there is a moment of reflection. This is partly because the high emotions will have diminished and partly because Wilder realizes it would be a good idea to reflect on his actions and to show respect for Fury.

Wilder managed to accept Tyson's fate by channeling his words through his faith and congratulate Tyson in a most appropriate and dignified manner.

Wilder posted a photo in his pre-fight attire on Thursday, and wrote: "Wow! What a great night!"

"First and foremost, I would like to thank God that he allowed me to share a part of myself that is driven with passion and determination with the world.

"I want to thank my team, my fans and for supporting me through this long process.

"I AM A TRUE WARRIOR and KING"

"I wouldn't lie if I said I was not disappointed with the outcome, but I have now reflected on my journey and realized that God has a greater plan for me than I had anticipated.

We didn't win, but a wise man once said that the wins are in the lessons. Sometimes you need to lose in order to win.

"Although I wanted to win, I loved seeing the fans win more.

"Hopefully, I proved I'm a true warrior in this sport and a true King."

"Hopefully, we proved that no matter what trials or tribulations life throws at you, you can still get up and fight for the things you believe in.

"Last, but not least, I want to congratulate @gypsyking101 on his victory and thank him for the wonderful historical memories that will be cherished forever."

The Gypsy King shared this post with a handshake emoticon and wrote: "The greatest trilogy of all time."

Wilder had already restored his reputation when he defeated Fury twice, before finally succumbing in the instant classic. He did this after accusing Fury of cheating him to win his February 2020 victory.

Fury slammed Fury for not congratulating him on his victory.

Shelly Finkel, Wilder's comanager, insisted that the ex-champion actually DOES respect Fury and was open to the peace offer now.
