Derek Chisora Claims He Shared Blueprint to Beat Oleksandr Usyk with Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois

Derek Chisora, the British boxer who faced Oleksandr Usyk in 2020 and lost by unanimous decision, claims that he knows the blueprint for how to beat Usyk and shared it with fellow boxers Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois. However, his advice was ignored.

Chisora's Advice Ignored by AJ and Dubois

Chisora revealed that he tried to help Joshua and Dubois prepare for their fights against Usyk by sharing his knowledge of how to beat the Ukrainian boxer. He emphasized the importance of being fit and using their size in the ring. However, both Joshua and Dubois did not follow his advice.

Chisora shared, "I showed everybody the blueprint, but people chose not to be the way I was."

Usyk's Dominance Over AJ and Dubois

After defeating Chisora, Usyk went on to beat both Joshua and Dubois, claiming the WBA, WBO, and IBF titles from Joshua. The judges scored the fight between Chisora and Usyk 117-112, 115-113, and 115-113 in favor of Usyk.

The Key to Beating Usyk

Chisora revealed that the key to beating Usyk is to hit him when he starts moving his hand up and down. He believes that when Usyk's hand is up, it is the perfect opportunity to land a successful hit.

Chisora shared his frustration, saying, "I knocked him down and they never give it to me."

Chisora's Appreciation for Usyk's Skills

Despite his losses to Usyk, Chisora expressed his admiration for the Ukrainian boxer. He described Usyk as "amazing" but warned that if his opponents let him be amazing, he will walk all over them in the ring.

Usyk's Next Fight

Usyk's next opponent is Tyson Fury, and their fight is expected to take place on February 17. However, there have been reports that the bout might be pushed back.
