DEREK CHRISORA has signed a contract for his return to the United States on July 9, but Adam Kownacki, his opponent, is yet to sign.
This popular British veteran is coming off three consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Uzyk and Joseph Parker.
After a heated rematch with Parker (30 in December), Chisora, 38 refused to retire.
He is in negotiations to fight Kownacki (33), and recently posted a photo on Instagram of him signing their fight contract.
Eddie Hearn, promoter, has confirmed that the fight is scheduled for July 9, while they wait for the other signature.
Hearn said to iFL TV, "Derek has signed his side, Adam Kownacki seems to sign that if he's willing to fight, it's a tremendous battle."

New York-based Pole Kownacki also has two losses against Robert Helenius 38.
He is now without a win in 2019, after he defeated Chris Arreola (41) on points.
Chisora is still a popular fighter in Britain and continues to fill arenas. It's impossible for him not to continue to fight.
