Haney won the victory with scores of 116-112, 112-112, and 118-110.

Haney holds the WBC and four other world titles. He is also the first boxer to unify lightweight since Pernell Whitaker's 1990 fight.

He is also the eighth boxer to have all four division belts in history - the latest to do it since Caleb Plant beat Canelo Alvarez to unify middleweight in November.

Although the bout was successful, Haney won the fight with scores of 116-112, 112-112, and 118-110 according to the judges scorecards.

This means that the WBA, IBF and WBO lineal titles will change for the second consecutive bout - Kambosos won them only in his fight against Teofimo in November.
