Dillian Whyte is ready to end Otto Wallin's fight and chase the WBC title against Tyson Fury

DILLIAN WHYTE says he is willing to give up his fight against Otto Wallin to pursue a WBC title match with Tyson Fury.

After injuring his shoulder, Whyte had to cancel his 'interim bout' with Wallin on 30 October.

Fury was ordered to fight Whyte, the WBC interim champ.

The heavyweight grudge match is still to be held.

Fury is now without an opponent, having seen Oleksandr Usyk as a possible division unifier.

After the Brit lost, Anthony Joshua activated his rematch clause and will now face the Ukrainian.

The WBC has ordered Fury to defend his crown against Whyte, the current 'interim champion'.

While the ace maintains that he didn't pull the plug on his Wallin fight in order to speed up a showdown with Fury, Whyte says he will not hesitate to pursue the Gypsy King first if the opportunity presents itself.

TalkSport spoke with Whyte: "I was training. I was ready. I was prepared. I spent a lot of money on training camp. Wallin was complaining that he had spent $20,000, and I thought, "Well, you could spend six times as much."

"People say I pulled out for whatever reason. If that were true, then why do I have four sparring partners?

"I would have pulled out three weeks ago, or when the [WBC] ruling was. My whole team is here. I have the guys there. I wanted to fight after we suffered the injury.

"You have professionals on your team. People who can use their brains. I use both my muscles and my balls.

"These guys, the brain guys, the surgeons, and the doctors, told me that fighting is a risk to your career.

"Yeah, of course [I'd first fight Fury]. Fury has the world title, and that's exactly what I have been waiting for. That's why I have worked so hard.

"I don’t know how many sanctioning fees have I paid. It would have been easy to abandon this path and go down another one years ago. But I waited, I waited, and I waited.

"So, what are you going to do? What are you going to do? Fight Otto Wallin, fight Tyson Fury. It's commonsense. As I stated, I don't fear anyone. I wanted to fight.

"I believe they're going to mandate me vs Tyson Fury. They've basically already said it. We don't have to wait, it's already been mandating.

"I would love it to be in the UK, that's a UK match. Vegas is great. I would love to fight in Vegas, but this fight is British. This is the largest all-British heavyweight championship fight since Lennox Lewis against Frank Bruno.
