Although the champion has signed his contract, Whyte still needs to sign it. He is also giving the silent treatment to his rival.

Arum, Hall of Fame promoter, has claimed that the British contender is now ready to get more of his way before he begins flogging the fight.

On Queensberry Promotions YouTube channel, he said: "He's trying get more money. It's as simple as that. He is trying to support us.

"One thing is certain when you win a purse, it means that fighters will promote in other ways.

"Well, that's kind of ambiguous. Most fighters will promote because they are professionals.

He said, "I want extra money for promotion, because I'm stuck paying you what the purse bids stated which was $7.3m, and I want more money from you so that you can go out and promote."

"And our position? Well, we won't give it to you. If the fight goes extremely well, we'll give it to you.

"But we are not going to put ourselves in a situation where you threaten us to refuse to participate in the promotion. He's a fool if he doesn’t.

"Because there's always tomorrow, and even though he loses the fight (which he figures to), he participates in the promotion and builds his image and his career."

"And secondly, and more importantly, he really needs to be exposed from this big fight, and his threat to him is, that he won't avail himself of that exposure."

The purse bid will be split at 20% for Whyte (33), which he believes is appealing.

The winner of the fight will get a 10% bonus. This means that the challenger could increase his earnings up to PS9m if they win.

Fury has already signed the contract and Whyte will have until February 19th to sign it. Fury is not allowed to sign the contract.

April 23rd is the target date, with Wembley’s 90,000.seater as the new host.
