Dirk Kuyt, a former Liverpool star, is now pursuing boxing and is looking for a celebrity opponent in an October fight.
As the latest Premier League icon to take up boxing, the 41-year old will enter the ring.
Kuyt will be participating in the October event, which Rico Verhoeven, kickboxer, will lead - but he does not have an opponent yet.
Anfield's former favourite, the ex-favourite, said he misses being a footballer but now enjoys a "battle against a celebrity."
According to reports, he said on the Humberto Talk Show that he was a former football player and knows what it is like to be in a stadium.
"It has been almost four years since I quit playing football. It's obvious that I miss the tension and the struggle to win a game.

"I have also practiced other sports like tennis, paddle tennis, and fitness. I am new to the ring.
"So, I would love to enter that battle against another celebrity. "I will continue to train hard from now on."
Kuyt's debut fight is his first after Verhoeven, a fellow Dutchman and champion of kickboxing heavyweight, proposed it to him.
After training with professional teams, Verhoeven included, he and other celebrities will be entering the ring.
As he recovers from an eye injury, the 33-year old is leading the "Hit It!" event in Rotterdam.
