King, now 90 and in his sixth decade of the sport's existence, is down to American Bryan as his only remaining unbeaten American Bryan.

The controversial matchmaker still wants to be a heavyweight champion and is keen to get to the top.

King spoke out in an exclusive interview with SunSport. He stated: "I see Trevor Fury and Tyson Fury fighting because that would give them both an opportunity.

"Tyson should defend what he's already done and achieved, and Trevor should have a chance to achieve greatness.

"That would be an irresistible power against an immovable object, and something has to give. Give it what you can.

"We can do that over there in the UK, with 80,000 watching Trevor win that title from Tyson Fury. Wouldn't that be thrilling?"

King had an interesting career that included some of the most memorable fights, including Ali's 1974 'Rumble In The Jungle' with George Foreman.

The outspoken American spent three years, eleven months in prison on a 1967 voluntary murder charge. He was also involved in numerous lawsuits.

He was sued by Ali, Tyson, Tim Witherspoon, Larry Holmes and Ali, all over money disputes.

King, however, has not lost his power and he promoted the sport in January with Bryan, 32.

King thanked Fury, 33-year-old, for his remarkable comeback story. He beat Wladimir Klitschko (now 45), in 2015, only to lose the belts one year later.

The Gypsy King was able to overcome his depression and substance abuse and returned to the ring in 2018. He reigned as champ two years later.

King stated: "I love Tyson Fury because Tyson Fury shows me what I value. You get knocked down and then you get up again.

Tyson Fury never lost the title. He was in a difficult situation but he showed that you can deal with reality.

He went into a difficult situation and he returned to the top, now in the heavyweight division.

"This is a testament to the power of faith and commitment, as well as determination.

"Thanks Tyson Fury, for exemplifying my belief that if you are knocked down, you can get up again, dust yourself off, and get back into the game."
