Christian Horner shared his surprising friendship with Tyson Fury, heavyweight boxer
The Gypsy King assured the racing boss, who was having two celebrations this weekend after the Turkish GP, that he would be able to do a lot on American rival Wilder.
According to the Daily Mail, Fury said to Horner, "Don't worry, he's gonna be mashed."
He was correct, but it took 11 thrilling rounds in Las Vegas to make his prediction come true.
Fury, 33, lost Wilder, 35 in the fourth round and seemed on the road for an easy night's sleep.
However, he was again defeated and left fighting for his belt.
Fury quickly regained control, and Wilder was dropped in the tenth. This signalled the end of the game.
After a brutal right-hand closing the show, he was able to complete the job and settle their trilogy series one and for all.
Fury enjoyed a postfight afterparty in Sin City, with his family and close friends. He will soon return to Lancashire.
He knows that his next fight will be against Dillian Whyte (33 versus Otto Wallin (30) at the end.
Frank Warren, Fury's UK promoter, wants a British return. The champ's last five fights in three years were all held in the States.
Warren stated, "I would love that Homecoming more than any other thing, the British fans or everything." It is possible to imagine it.
"Tyson sells every stadium in Britain. It's easy. He will be embraced by the fans. He is due for that hero's return now.
