Ebanie Bridges 'Battle of the Boobs' CANCELLED just days before fight against glamorous opponent Avril Mathie

Bridges left searching for new opponent

Ebanie Bridges, also known as the Blonde Bomber, is in need of a new opponent after her highly anticipated "Battle of the Boobs" was suddenly cancelled. The 37-year-old boxer was scheduled to face off against Avril Mathie in her first fight of 2023 next Saturday.

Mathie forced to pull out

The showdown between Bridges and Mathie, both Australian fighters, was given its unique name due to the fighters' tradition of stripping down to their underwear for weigh-ins. However, Mathie has been forced to withdraw from the bout due to injury, leaving Bridges without an opponent just days before the fight.

Desperate search for a replacement

With the cancellation of the fight, Bridges is now on a frantic search for a last-minute replacement to fill the void. The Daily Star reports that she is "believed to be gutted" that her friend and swimwear model, Mathie, cannot compete.

Defending her IBF bantamweight title

Bridges, who currently holds the IBF bantamweight title, now faces a race against time to find a suitable opponent who can step in on short notice. She is determined to defend her championship and is actively seeking a replacement to ensure the fight goes on.

Controversial comments and growing popularity

Prior to the cancellation, Bridges had been hyping up the fight and even claimed that the weigh-in between her and Mathie "would break the internet." She also made headlines by referring to both fighters as "OnlyFans models" and generating interest from viewers outside of the boxing world.

This setback comes after Bridges defended her IBF world title once, defeating Shannon O'Connell by eighth-round TKO in December of last year. Despite breaking her right hand in the lead-up to that fight, she persevered through the pain and underwent surgery afterwards.

Although she has been absent from the ring, Bridges has continued to captivate her social media followers and grow her fan base. Her recent appearance in a see-through top and ripped jeans garnered attention, with some dubbing her "the hottest woman in the room."
