Chaotic End to Press Conference
Eddie Hearn was caught on camera confronting rival promoter Ben Shalom in the midst of chaos at the Chris Eubank Jr. vs Conor Benn press conference. The event took a wild turn when Eubank Jr. slapped an egg into Benn's face, sparking a brawl on stage.
Security Intervenes
Security guards had to step in to calm the situation as tempers flared. Conor Benn had to be restrained after being struck with the egg by Chris Eubank Jr, with the Matchroom promoter seen getting involved in the scuffle and appearing to shove Ben Shalom amidst the chaos.
Reason Behind the Chaos
Eubank Jr.'s egg stunt was reportedly a reference to Benn's failed drug test in 2022, with Eubank claiming he contaminated Benn with an egg in response to the controversy. Eddie Hearn later addressed the incident, warning that the fight would be off if the two boxers ran into each other again.
Verbal Sparring
Prior to the chaotic end of the press conference, Eddie Hearn and Eubank Jr. engaged in a heated exchange of words at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Tensions ran high as Hearn questioned Eubank Jr.'s intentions, leading to a tense atmosphere before the physical altercation ensued.
