Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury could be in for a massive payday if they can secure one more win each, according to promoter Eddie Hearn.
The Potential Payday
Hearn is confident that the highly anticipated matchup between the two British rivals will happen before their respective retirements. He also believes that the emergence of Saudi Arabia as a major player in the boxing world could lead to a significant financial windfall for both fighters.
However, there's a catch. The hefty purses would only materialize if Fury can defeat Oleksandr Usyk and Joshua can overcome Deontay Wilder in their upcoming fights.
Hearn recently stated on The Overlap, "They'd make £100million each. If Fury beats Usyk and AJ beats Wilder, they'd make over £100million each."

Challenges and Roadblocks
Hearn has been working on a deal for Joshua to face Wilder, but it fell through when the Saudi backers withdrew their support. As a result, Joshua may have to compete in an interim bout before negotiations with Wilder can be revisited in early 2024.
Meanwhile, Fury is set to take on former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in a crossover clash in Riyadh. However, he has already signed on for a historic four-belt unification bout against Usyk afterwards.
The Future of Joshua vs Fury
Although a Battle of Britain between Joshua and Fury has been put on hold for now, Hearn remains hopeful that a deal can eventually be reached.
He stated, "It has to be a fight. Even if AJ loses to Wilder, even if Fury loses to Usyk, we have to see that fight. Listen, in an ideal world – and I'm obviously biased – I think AJ beats Wilder. I do, 100 per cent. Listen, I believe he beats Fury, I think he has the style to do it. We'll see."
