EDDIE HEARN stated that Tyson Fury doesn’t look ready' to fight Deontay wilder in his trilogy, but that he will still 'win comfortably.
Next Saturday, the heavyweight rivals will be sharing the ring in Las Vegas for the third time.
Eddie Hearn stated that Tyson Fury "doesn’t look ready" for his trilogy fight Deontay wilder
This is three years after they drew before Fury's 2020 rematch ended with a round seven whitewash.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the contracted trilogy bout was delayed and Gypsy King's plans for Anthony Joshua, 31, to fight instead, the Gypsy King pulled out of the fight.
He was forced to confront Wilder, 35 at the eleventh hour. Joshua's promoter Hearn knows that the WBC champion, 33-year-old Joshua, is not ready for the challenge.
Boxing Social was told by he: "Tyson Fury does not look ready to go, in my opinion."
"I think he will win comfortably, but it throws in the possibility of a mistake."
"Mistakes against Deontay wilder could lead to your defeat. He is very dangerous.
"Fury isn't losing a round. But it doesn't really matter. It's possible to make one mistake and win.
"I really hope he wins, because I want the WBC order Fury - Whyte mandatory."
Wilder's rematch victory over Fury sold a record heavyweight gate of PS13million as 15,816 people packed into the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Covid-19 travel restrictions will prevent British tourists from flying to Las Vegas.
Hearn is concerned that the fight will be in high demand because of Fury's win last year.
He stated, "Look at Fury Wilder; they're giving out tickets. They are lowering prices and it's one the most important fights you'll ever see.
It won't make a five-million dollar gate. Because there are not many Brits travelling. This fight in America isn't a major one.
Hearn said, "There's no buzz. That's not all I am saying.
"There is zero buzz about that fight, because Fury [Fury] absolutely destroyed Wilder in the second fight. He beat him in his first fight, too.
"The second fight seemed like a mismatch. It just doesn't seem to be able to do the numbers.
"Someone is going have eggs on their faces." It's not going to be pretty, I don't know the details.
