Eddie Hearn says Tyson Fury is guilty of having double standards in his treatment of Dillian Whyte at the press conference with Klitschko.

EDDIE HEARN accused Dillian Whyte's critics that they forgot Tyson Fury was absent from a press conference regarding his proposed rematch against Wladimir Klitschko.

Whyte is getting flack for choosing to skip his pre-fight presser ten days back with The Gypsy Kings to continue his grueling Portugal training camp.

Eddie Hearn, however, has accused Gypsy King of using double standards

Fury and his supporters blasted the Brixton banger because he was absent for his fight clash with Klitschko in September 2016. Hearn thinks that is a rich stance considering how the defending WBC heavyweight champion went AWOL.

The Matchroom Boxing chief stated to iFL TV that "Everyone is very quick to forget Tyson Fury did not turn up at the Wladimir Klitschko Press Conference."

Hearn was asked if Fury might have been suffering from mental health issues at the time. Hearn replied, "He chose to not turn up."

"He's still at fault. He chose not to attend the press conference. What's the difference?

He said that it was for a fight, and he decided not to [attend]. His car had broken down on the way down, he claimed. It didn't."

Hearn, a veteran promoter, was quick to not make light of Fury’s well-documented mental health struggles.

He said, "You don’t know what anybody is going through." It's one rule, one rule for each.

"At the end, Tyson Fury did not attend the Wladimir Klitschko Press Conference, Dillian Whyte did not attend the Tyson Fury Press Conference.

Let's all pray that everything is resolved and that they get the ring.

Hearn was prompted to explain why Hearn missed the presser after Whyte's radio silence for the past few weeks.

Fight Hub TV reported that he heard Tyson Fury tell Fight Hub TV, "I heard him say, 'I told hm not to attend the press conference' -- absolutely rubbish.

He still hasn't been able to answer many questions and there's still much that needs to be done. It's not something I want to get into, but tickets for the fight, escrow money, he wanted to fly to Covid. He didn't want a low-budget airline.

"Some people would like to own Rolls Royces, but can't afford the petrol. This is a problem.

"If you are going to spend $42million on a fight, will you bring in a man from Portugal? They don't want him to get tickets for the fight.

"So under a purse bidding agreement, there are things he can and cannot do. It's not like a normal commercial agreement. It's his decision.

"If they wanted him there, they could've had them there, but they didn't really make an effort to treat him in a proper manner, in my view."

Fury and Whyte will be fighting in a domestic matchup at Wembley Stadium, April 23, which is highly anticipated by both 33-year-olds.
