Whyte is now WBC mandatory challenger

Fury successfully defended the WBC heavyweight champion belt in Las Vegas this weekend. Whyte is now the mandatory challenger.

Although there have been many calls for Joshua to be confronted by the Gypsy King, or his assailant Oleksandr Usyk, Hearn has rejected them all.

IFL TV he said: "Dillian Whyte, the mandatory for Tyson Fury is called in 30 Days.

"Obviously, Dillian will be fighting Otto Wallin at the O2 but he's Tyson Fury's mandatory challenger.

"It's an amazing fight. Tyson should be back in the UK. In the UK, he has not boxed for three or four years. It is a huge fight for the division.

Dillian deserves credit for getting in there. He had fought Alexander Povetkin once before and he needed to win the rematch.

"Now, he fights Otto Wallin again. He's ready to make a statement October 30, and then fight Tyson Fury.

"He is mandatory now."

Hearn calls for Fury to confront his man, but Gypsy King's dad John totally disagrees.

TalkSPORT was told by him: "He's gotto go for Usyk, or nothing in mine idea. It's Usyk next, or nothing.

"I wouldn’t bother with them all, they’re not in Tyson’s class.

"Would Dillian whyte make a deal with Deontay wilder?" No. No.

"IT'S A MASSIVE EVIDENCE"

"At the conclusion of the day, the 42-year-old Alexander Povetkin knocked him out via a slap on the back of his hands."

Hearn said that he couldn't understand why Fury would avoid the Whyte fight, and that it was what the fans want.

He said, "I don’t see why Tyson would not want to fight Dillian Whyte."

"It's a big payday and a major event, and then you can fight Usyk in AJ."

"The WBC statement was very clear. Fury against Wilder's winner must now face the interim champion of the world [Whyte].

"If Fury is made franchise champion, then we won't be able to fight the undisputed bout."
