The Texan's success as a boxer is not the only thing that matters to him. He also cares about his children, Ivy (6), Violet, five, Errol Spence III.

The unbeaten American's life would be forever changed after the birth of his son, October 2020.

Spence opens up about SunSport and says, "It has changed a lot." It's important to make changes, because I feel like a son.

"When he goes to the gym, he is actually trying to learn how to box and imitate other people."

"My daughters were not really doing that. They were just running around and playing. He really wants to box.

In the past, boxing regiments often had fighters who were absent from their families for a whole training camp that could last several months.

Spence, 32 years old, is a new-schooler and chooses to remain in Texas with Derrick James, his coach since he met him when he was 16.

Spence also brings his children to work, where they play in James' World Class Boxing Gym. Spence knows that there is a method to all the madness.

He said, "I want my children to see where their food comes from."

My children might respond to this by saying, "Daddy, you go to the gym every day." Or, "Daddy, you're always running." You know what I mean.

"And I'll ask, 'Where do your food come from? What do you believe the origin of your clothes?

"I want them to see firsthand the hard work of others. They might not realize it right now, but when they are older, it will be clear that daddy worked very hard to get us to where we are today."

The Texan often works out at the gym with his children and his partner. It's just how he likes it.

Spence says: "It's something that I enjoy because it allows me to be with my family.

"I believe that if you are disciplined enough to not get distracted, it's okay to stay home and spend time with your family and friends.

"I have been able do that, and I'm just lucky to have a strong willed mind to stay at home and train with my family."

Spence took his oldest daughter to Dallas's local boxing show, but her stardom led his daughter to wonder why so many people wanted photos with him.

Ivy was BORED at action in the ring, as there is only one fighter that she is interested.

Spence giggles, "They're still to young to take it all. My daughter was bored, in fact!

She said, "She doesn't want me to go to any more boxing matches, unless I'm fighting. So she can cheer on me, that's all she said."

"But they don't understand the magnitude of what's happening or why people come up to me and take photos.

"They don’t understand yet."

Ivy is fortunate that her dad doesn't care about boring fights. He returns after a long hiatus in yet another huge Showtime PPV event.

Spence was fortunate to survive a high-speed car accident in 2019.

He skipped a tune up bout and beat Danny Garcia, 34, on his return.

Spence was left with a severe retina injury from sparring, which caused him to fear for his boxing career.

Surgery was successful, but Pacquiao's dream fight went to Ugas, 35, who defeated and retired the Filipino.

Spence will face the Cuban after 16 months.
