Hughie Fury's Comeback Journey
After battling long Covid and other health issues that kept him away from the ring, Fury expressed his relief at being able to make a successful return to boxing. Speaking to Sky Sports, he shared, "It's been one thing after another. I had long Covid then I had other problems. It's just been a nightmare. As one problem came, another was arising. It's been three years of pretty much hell."
Fury added, "To not be able to do what I used to be able to do was a nightmare. So just to get back now and put that behind me is a weight off my shoulders." Despite facing challenges during his time away from the sport, Fury remains determined to shake off any ring rust and showcase his skills under the spotlight once again.
Reflecting on his journey back to the ring, Fury revealed, "I thought I wasn't going to box again. From a young kid, I've put everything in, nothing else, just boxing. I thought that was it. My dreams, of putting in all the hard work and dedication and my life was down the drain. I can finally see the light and get into the mix."
