Anthony Joshua could be the one to bring Tyson Fury back from retirement
He is still linked to a return to fight Joshua, 32, or Oleksandr Uzyk, 35. They rematch in Saudi Arabia on August 20.
Fury's former trainer Davison said that AJ has a better chance of winning back the Gypsy King than Usyk.
Boxing Social was told by he: "I believe people are overcomplicating Fury.
"People think he is trying to be clever, but he really is being honest.
"I don’t believe he’s overly interested, but if Anthony Joshua wins, it’s a fight I think that he’ll box again for.
"I'm sure he will continue training, but I think people are too interested in it.
"What he is saying is the truth and people are overcomplicating it."
He's not feeling the fight, he doesn't like fighting anymore. He loves training and is happy to do an exhibit. But, if AJ wins, he'll be happy to fight AJ."
An exhibition against Hafthor Bjornsson, the former World's Strongest Man, has been linked to fury.
Bjornson, 33 years old, defeated Eddie Hall, 34 in March. He now wants to face the Gypsy King.
Frank Warren, Fury's promoter, said that no formal talks have been held but that he plans to meet with the WBC champion.
