The viral video of Saturday's altercation showed a man becoming aggressive and being knocked down to the ground.

Roger Wade, CEO of Roger Wade, has offered his support to Francis and explained why the ace lost it.

He wrote on Linkedin: "My understanding was that Julius (our security team) spent 15 minutes stopping this guy and his friends abusing, spitting on and hitting our customers, staff and customers."

The clip shows a group of men arguing with security personnel outside the popular North London food and beverage venue.

As he starts to walk towards Francis, Tyson's ex-fighter is seen taking steps back.

Yesterday, Francis' employer and cops said that they were investigating. However, both probes have been dropped.

Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated that officers had spoken with all parties and reviewed the relevant CCTV.

"No further action will take place in relation to the incident involving security guard and male client."

Professional Security, which provides the bouncers at Boxpark added that Julius is a respected and long-standing member of their team.

"We believe that he acted in self defense and will offer our full support."

Wade said later in a LinkedIn post that he was "astonished" by the support comments he received regarding the Julius Francis security incident.

"It was instinctive to support Julius and give it the benefit of doubt that he felt under immediate danger and needed to defend myself."

"Frankly, it was surprising how many people thought it brave to support Julius and not disengage myself from the situation.

"I have found that being a great CEO does not only require financial success. It's also about doing the right things and creating a culture in which your employees and customers respect your decisions.

"Thank you again for your support. It's truly an honor and Julius greatly appreciated it.

Francis, now 57 years old, won 23 out of 48 bouts. He also lost in a famous fight to Tyson in Manchester, January 2000.

Iron Mike won the second round, and the Brit survived.

Francis also fought Vitali Klotschko in 1998, but was stopped after just two rounds.

He was a heavyweight champion throughout his career, winning belts from the Commonwealth and British.

Londoner boxed last in 2006, and after retirement, he started a fitness business while working as a security officer.
