Southpaw Oleksandr Usyk beat Anthony Joshua in September

AJ was heavily criticised after trying to match Usyk's boxing skills at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last October.

Joshua lost his heavyweight belts, but Hatton said he could recover them by using a more front-footed approach.

MailOnline was informed by him that AJ had all dismissed him. They all believe Usyk will win the fight more comfortably than you. Use that fuel to ram them down their throats.

"If they think that you're going be beat anyway, then you have nothing to lose. F ****** grab it by its balls.

"I would keep it simple: '(Usyk), outboxed us last time, this year I'm going f ****** bash we.

"At this level it's probably less simple than that but I think there's so many AJ's to offer."

Ricky Hatton was a two-weight world champion.

Eddie Hearn, the promoter, believes that the rematch could be held as soon as March with the UK as the host.

Commentators and pundits have been waiting to get their opinions. Tony Bellew is one example of boxing voices telling AJ up the ante.

Hatton believes that the Watford fighter is capable of reclaiming his titles, having already done it against Andy Ruiz Jr.

Hatton said: "In the rematch a lot people say Usyk would do the same thing again, but he'll push the gas a bit earlier and might even stop AJ. I believe the opposite.

"You have to be able adapt and AJ has that ability."

He can box. This is what he proved with his Olympic gold medal win and his retake of the heavyweight title. He is able to mix it up."
