Khan suggested that Khan would retire right after the fight. His wife's recent social media post is yet another sign it is over for the Bolton hero.
Faryal wrote, "Thanks King Khan for all of the excitement you brought about the sport boxing."
"Without British boxing, it wouldn't be the same." You inspire us all."
Khan, who is married to Faryal depuis 2013, was a former champion of the unified world.
With several marquee wins across the pond, he also made a name himself Stateside.
He gave Brook bragging rights for his entire career in the most significant moment of his career.

Khan, 35, said that he needed to spend time with his family but that it was more towards the end.
"The passion for the sport is gone." This is a sign that it's time to call it quits.
He said, "No excuses for the better man and he boxed his skin out I have to admit.
"I didn’t expect that from him. Especially after the fights I have witnessed before.
Kell was a star performer today, and he won.
"At the end we have rivalries, but as I say after they punch me we can be friends.
He put on a great show and did everything that he had to. He was the greatest man tonight. Although I had a fantastic, amazing training camp, I couldn't get started.
"I was missing quite some things. Kell was at his best, and we all owe him our deepest respect."
