BRITISH boxing still feels the pain of Saturday's sickening split decision Robbery Jack Catterall.
The Chorley 28 year-old took Josh Taylor, undisputed super-lightweight champion, to his Glasgow backyard as a 6-1 underdog and gave a masterclass that convinced almost everyone that he should be crowned 10st King.
Before being robbed by Josh Taylor
, Jack Catterall put on a spectacular performance.
The inexplicable score of 114-111 was given by Ian John-Lewis to Taylor. Victor Loughlin, who did an excellent job as a referee when he saved Amir Khan's life, scored the match 113-112 in the same shocking manner.
Sky Sports' entire commentary team was shocked. Catterall trainer Jamie Moore was disgusted, considering his future in boxing. Ben Shalom, Boxxer promoter, admitted that he was embarrassed. He was called to an inquiry at the British Boxing Board of Control.
Catterall, who waited for two years to get his mandatory chance at immortality, made the pain worse by his post-fight comments.
He stated that he didn't do it for himself, but for his family, my country, and my team. Our future, my baby girl and missus.
"I should have been waking with all the belts. They all wrote me off 15 months after I was in the ring. F ***** I was a tireless worker for more than two years and finally won the fight.
"I gave up everything to fight one the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world and taught him a lesson." What? Shame on you for boxing. Judges. Dreams stolen."

"I sat five years behind one of the judges, so what the f*** am I seeing that he sees that I'm not? It's a horrible f ****** game.
"The 114-11 card is a sham. Although I am aware that there are no brown envelopes or backhanders, what are these guys doing seeing that I don’t? I don't get it. It's so frustrating."
Nigel Travis, Catterall's assistant trainer, and long-serving fireman, was nearly in tears.
He stated that it was a f ****** joke and an embarrassment. While I respect the majority of BBBofC officials, I find myself embarrassed for them.
"I'm sure I will be pulled up before the board, but they have cheated Jack Catterall of a life-changing victory.
He was working on tools two months ago because he had been so patient without fighting. It's bulls***. They have lied. I will stand up for my honor and claim they have lied."
'LOAD OF ***'
Taylor had been cut around his right eye in the first half and dropped in round 8. Taylor was then told by Ben Davison, Taylor's trainer, that he needed a knockout to win the final round.
Dillian Whyte, heavyweight champion, kept it simple and called the result 'disgusting'.
Peter Fury said: "Wow, boxing just passed through the floor. It was a shameful night for boxing. Jack Catterall, the entire team and all of them should be proud.
Liam Smith commented on Josh Taylor's disgusting comments.
Catterall posted a tweet just before 1am, with an X-rated blast.
He wrote, "What a load s ***!"
